Is Faisal Town Phase 2 Approved? What the RDA Record Shows

"Is it approved?" is the most important question you can ask about any housing society, and you deserve a straight answer. This article summarises what public sources say about Faisal Town Phase 2 and shows you how to verify it yourself.

The short answer

As of October 2026, Faisal Town Phase 2 does not have a final No Objection Certificate (NOC) from the Rawalpindi Development Authority (RDA), the body responsible for approving private housing schemes in the area. The developer and its representatives describe the approval as under process.

The public record

  • October 2022: ProPakistani reported on an RDA letter concerning about 7,300 kanal of the project, while noting that RDA's website still listed Phase 2 as unapproved.
  • March 2024: RDA registered FIRs against the owners of twelve unapproved schemes, a list that included Faisal Town Phase II (Dawn).
  • April 2024: RDA issued a show-cause notice to Faisal Town Phase-II after a booking ceremony for a new block, directing it to stop development work, advertising and plot sales until approval (Dawn).
  • 2025: press lists of unapproved societies in Rawalpindi continued to include the project.

Note that "Faisal Town" entries on RDA's list of approved schemes refer to Phase 1, a different project. Do not let anyone use Phase 1's approval to answer a question about Phase 2.

What this means for a buyer

Buying a plot in a scheme without a final NOC carries extra risk. Approval can be delayed, conditions can be attached to it, and the regulator can restrict sales or development in the meantime. Some buyers accept that risk in exchange for a lower entry price; others prefer to wait. It is your decision, but it should be an informed one.

How to check any society yourself

  1. Open the Rawalpindi Development Authority's official website and find its published lists of approved and unapproved housing schemes.
  2. Search for the exact name of the scheme and its phase. Many projects share a brand name across several phases.
  3. Note the date of the list. Lists are updated, so a screenshot from a dealer is not a substitute.
  4. If in doubt, contact RDA directly or ask a property lawyer to check for you.

Questions to ask the sales office

  • Which authority is the approval application with, and what stage has it reached?
  • Is the specific block you are being offered included in the land submitted for approval?
  • What happens to your booking and payments if approval is delayed?

We will answer these questions as clearly as we can — ask us — but RDA's own list is the final word.
